TitleCollection of the Amateur Vocal Club
DescriptionThe Amateur Vocal Club was formed at the house of Dr Bennett in 1852. Sir Robert Christison, Dr Alexander Peddie and Dr Maclagan were the other members. They were also known as The Singing Doctors. The Club would perform publicly, including at dinners of the Harveian Society and the Royal Colleges. The Club disbanded in 1876.
