| Description | Fell was born in New Zealand on 17 January 1878 and was educated at Otago University, continuing his studies at the University of Edinburgh where he graduated MB ChB in 1902 proceeding to MD in 1906. After graduation Dr Fell held house appointments at the Royal Infirmary, the City Fever Hospital and at Corstorphine Convalescent Hospital.
