Description Of ItemThe machine is in a wooden box with the instructions for use on the inside of the lid. The machine won a first prize medal in London in 1862; a silver medal in Paris in 1878; and a silver medal in Paris in 1889 and was made by William Hume, Edinburgh. Also included is a recent colour photograph of the machine set up ready for use which had the donor's name and address on the reverse.
