| Description | Anderson was a retired civil servant, born in Currie, Scotland. In his retirement he was interested in local history and was an enthusiastic member of the Currie Historical Society. He spent many years researching the life of Dr Thomas Cunningham, a local doctor in Currie in the 1850s, although there was no family relationship between himself and the Cunningham family.
