These names include Dr James Matthews Duncan, Sir James Young Simpson, Dr Argyll Robertson, Dr Alexander Peddie, Dr James Paterson Glasgow, Dr Grieve, Dr Benjamin Bell, Sir Thomas Watson, Dr Christison, Dr J H Bennett and Professor Syme. There is also a loose page titled 'Extract from notes of lectures on Influenza by Dr Warburton Begbie' with an annotation initialled by him. This item was originally in the James Young Simpson collection although there was always doubt about the authorship. It is not known definitely whether the author is Begbie. |
