Description Of ItemFrom the collection of Abbé Fauvel. Although the title page describes the book as Tibullus' fourth, only the first elegy is a copy of his; the rest of the book is copies of Martial. The book is divided into 15 parts headed Liber I Elegia I; M [Marcus] Valerius Martialis in Amphitheatrum; M Valerii Martialis Epigrammaton Liber Secundus[?]; M Valerii Martialis Liber Tertius Ad Lectorem De Liber Gallicano; M Valerii Martialis Epigrammaton IIII; epigrammaton M Valerii Martialis Liber Quintus; M Val Ma Epi Sext [M Valerii Martialis Epigrammaton Sextus]; Epigrammation M Val Mar Liber Septimus; M Va Martia Liber Octavus; M Val Mar Liber Nonus; M Val Mar Liber Decimus; Epigrammaton M Val Mar Li XI; M Val Mar Li XII; M Va Ma Xenia; M Va M Apophoreta. Index at rear. The book is very small and difficult to read. A printed bookplate on the front flyleaf has a crest with the words 'E Bibliotheca D Abbatis Fauvel'. It is also inscribed 'Donavit David Clerk jusd[?] Collegii Ab Epistolis'.
