William Hamilton, later Professor of Anatomy and Botany at the University of Glasgow, studied for two years under Hunter in London. He was not related to Alexander Hamilton and it is not known how Alexander came by the volume. Alexander has made some annotations in the volume, towards the rear where p98 is written in the inside margin, and scored through sections that he presumably did not need. |
