Description Of ItemFrom the collection of Alexander Hamilton. Although some papers do relate to his translation of Haller other notes are included. The papers are: a table giving titles of books, any references to affections of the heart and pericardium and summary of the cases given; list of works to be consulted with explanatory text on the preparation of the translation and in reverse an index, probably to Haller; list of free lectures Hamilton could attend; pages titled 'Addenda' with list of experiments relevant to a text that were published once the book had gone to press; and a bound section with an article on the nature and cause of cancer, cases of extra uterine pregnancies, puerperal fever, comparative periods of gestation and hydrocephalus.
