These carte de visite photographs were found in an envelope addressed to Norman Walker, 7 Manor Place, Edinburgh and inscribed 'With J Hutchinson's kind regards'. Neither the photographs nor the envelope are dated but it is possible Hutchinson sent them while Walker was president of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh. Each card is stamped 'W Weddell, 48 South Bridge, Edinburgh' which was a stationers that sold carte de visite photographs. |
