Description Of ItemAddressed to William Hamilton. He writes that Mr George's complaints have gone even though they had a bad passage but that Mr Stirling's cough returned on the voyage. They stopped at Nice ('somewhat in the style of Buxton') and met Dr Ewart and he describes the climate and lifestyle. Mr Ferondy in Nice, France and Dr Batt, Professor of Chemistry and Botany in Genoa, Italy have told him that those places are two centuries behind in medicine. Transcript available.
