Description Of ItemThe photograph is framed. There is a label on the rear of the photograph which reads: 'This photograph was taken in Aberdeen Fever Hospital in 1922 by my father, Aberdeen graduate Dr John Innes Moir MB ChB D.PH. The patient was a seaman and he recovered. Given to the Edinburgh Royal College of Physicians by Dr Erona Innes Conacher. The frame was made by Dr Moir using local wood, possibly teak when he was a senior medical officer in the colonial service in British Honduras (now Belize) 1934-36. His signature can be faintly seen on the back, above the labels. Dr Moir died of tetanus in Belize in 1936 aged 39, and is buried there. He served as surgeon lieutenant in navy WW1'.
