Description Of ItemFrom the collection of Robert Philip. The slides are numbered and are all of the same format with round or oval apertures with what are probably laryngeal cross sections. Three slides have case notes and fifteen are of charts and graphs. These include number of laryngeal cases; death rates; incidence of laryngeal tuberculosis at post mortem in Brompton Hospital; results of treatment by galvano-cautery, silence and whispers; and quotation from Edward VII on the opening of Midhurst Sanatorium, 1905. Includes handwritten note on the slides that they appeared in 'Tuberculosis of the Larynx - Ten Years Experience in a Sanatorium' published by the Medical Research Council, 1924 as well as how to notify the lantern slide operator.
