TitleLetter from James Young Simpson, Edinburgh
Datec1850
Description Of ItemWritten from 52 Queen Street. Addressed to an unknown clergyman. 'My Dear Sir, 'Many thanks for the fee but I have re-inclosed it as I never take fees from the families of clergyman. I was summoned [?] off suddenly three days ago to Dumfriesshire and thence to London and then Harrow which I left last night. As to writing notes I would never get away if I sat down for that purpose - for railways like the tide wait for no man. Yours in haste James Young Simpson'.
