Description Of ItemThis female statue is one of two Lazzaroni pieces, commissioned by Thomas Hamilton, found in the vestibule. Similarly to her counterpary who stands opposite her on the western side of the vestibule, she is depicted in a classical style and made from plaster. However her long garment, which covers most of her body, contrasts with that of her opposite number, who is only covered from the waist down. In contrast to the cup and jug held by her counterpart this figure instead appears to be holding a wreath.
