Description Of ItemIn 1915 the Laboratory entered into an arrangement with Duncan Flockhart and Company, Chemists, on the production of vaccines. The Laboratory was to bear the cost of producing the vaccines in bulk, while the chemist was to cover all other expenses and the gross profits were to be divided between them. It had been arranged in 1911 that the Research and Reporting Accounts should be kept separate. Any profits from the production of vaccines would be credited to the Reporting Account, and any accumulation of surplus was to be available for funding research.

The file contains correspondence, agreements, information relating to the Therapeutic Substances Act of 1925, and related notes.
