  <dc:description>Crosbie graduated MB from University of Glasgow in 1955. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 1963 and a fellow in 1982. He was also made a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1985. He had been a lecturer in medicine at King's College Hospital Medical School, London and his specialty was respiratory medicine.
