  <dc:description>William Turnbull was a son of the Reverend John Turnbull (born in Ancrum in 1775) of Tingwall Parish Church in Shetland. William, the oldest son, was born in 1811, and served as a Doctor in Her Majesty's 94th Regiment.  He died at sea, on 14 October 1846.
