Collection of Ewart Geoffrey Walsh Walsh studied animal physiology at the University of Oxford and graduated in 1943. He then went on to do neurophysiological research at Oxford University followed by a scholarship at Harvard Medical School. He then graduated MA BSc BM BCh from Oxford in 1947. He was a senior lecturer in physiology at the University of Edinburgh 1954-1967. Also during that period he worked as a honorary consultant at the South East Scotland Regional Hospital Board and as a WHO visiting professor to Baroda Medical College, India. He became a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London in 1967 and of Edinburgh in 1968.
