Description Of ItemHe requests an introduction to Dr Blagden. He reports that opium continues to be used by many London surgeons for chancre and ulcers but that there is 'some ambiguity on the subject'; that digitalis has had extremely bad effects with one patient dying; and that Dr Priestley has recently seen a treatise on the atmosphere by Mr de Luc which explains the phenomenon of evaporation.
