Description Of ItemCovering letter from Lady Dick enclosing a letter from her mother, Elizabeth Douglas of Blackford dated 5th July. Lady Dick mentions the health of her daughter Elizabeth and asks after Cullen's grandson. In her letter Elizabeth Douglas writes that she had been told by Lady Dick that Cullen had got her a letter of recommendation from Mrs Johnstone to her brother, Bishop of Rhodez although she is not at present intending to go any further south than the north of France. She would like a copy of the letter in French 'if you would be so very obliging'.
