Details how the asylum, under the management of Psychiatrist [Biagio] Miraglia, a great annual theatrical performance was given. Five patients successfully played Alfieri’s tragedy of ‘Timolean’ and ‘II Campenello’. One patient was noted as believing he ‘was really a woman, and that everybody, except the Emperor Nicholas, was mistaken as to his sex’.
