Description Of ItemLetter discusses sending photographs for ‘your class of Medical Psychology’. It refers to a Dr. Lindsay [Dr. Lauder Lindsay] who collects writings and drawings from patients. It states that ‘along with the present letter, I send two cards, written and copied by a patient, a case of [Chronic Dementia]’. It goes on to reference [sexual] odours and details a case of a young female, who gathers plants such as spearmint and lavender from the garden or carries a fresh cone of the common spruce which she keeps smelling constantly. It notes she is ‘[markedly erratic]’, ‘accuses us of giving her chloroform at night’. A ‘P.S.’ details a 9th demonstration with specimens (including living animals) and drawings on zoology given to the patients fortnightly during the winter.
