| Description Of Item | The volumes are in French and are of a similar format with the text in a column on the left side of the page rather than using the whole page width. The only name found in the texts was at the end of the third section of the third volume which is attributed to Ferrein. Ferrein (1693-1769) was a French anatomist and a professor at the Collège Royal in Paris. These volumes or part of them may be copies of Ferrein's work or they may be based on a book by Louis Daniel Arnault de Nobleville (1701-1778) which used Ferrein's teachings titled 'Cours de médecine pratique, rédigé d'après les principes de M. Ferrein'. In either case a date of c1750 has been given as a reflection of Ferrein's dates. |
