TitleLetter from Campbell Betham, Isle of Man to William Cullen
Date29 Aug 1789
Description Of ItemHe has received a letter from Duncan Campbell who can not help him with his intended move to London. He therefore asks Cullen for letters of introduction. Dr David Pitcairn had told him that an opening may come available with the death 'of old Letsom [Lettsom]'. He writes that Skeete had died so an opening might come up in that part of town. He asks whether Cullen's friendship with Dr Saunders could help as Saunders also knew Skeete and got him his post at Guy's Hospital. He is no longer so keen to go to Whitehaven but has not replied to Dr Dixon there. His sister received a packet from Miss Margaret. In index.
