Article titled ‘Remarks on Tea, as Regards Affection of the Heart’, by Henry Samuel Purdon. He establishes the effects of tea, tannin, and theine on the digestive system and the heart, and supposes that avid tea-drinkers are more subject to heart-problems, and to death due to heart diseases, because of the drink.
