Description Of ItemIn the title coughs was a later annotation. Contains 'Textbook p347 - Introduction' on the neuroses of the respiratory organ; 'The [_?] branch of Vagus - Laryngisimus Stridulus', 1856; 'Hysterics - Chorea - Tetanus - Hysterical convulsions'; and case of muscular restlessness and sleeplessness, 1872. Also includes letter from R Elliot to Professor [James Young] Simpson concerning a patient in an asylum, 1864; case note of a child patient seen by Professor Laycock, 1876; 'On Nervous Asthma' by Bamberger, 1867; 'On the administration of belladonna and on certain causes which modify its action' by Henry William Fuller, 1859; 'Pregnant Sickness' by Metcalfe Johnson, 1871; 'Child-crowing - the most effective remedy exposure to dry cold winds' by J Robertson, 1865; 'On asthma' by M Trousseau, 1858; 'Experimental Investigations on the production of cough'; 'On the treatment of tetanus by chloral'; and small cuttings on chorea, cramps, compression of the ovaries, obstinate hiccough, hay fever, tetanus, use of ice in hysteria, gonorrhoeal hysteria 1862-1874.
