| Description Of Item | From the collection of Haldane Tait. Photocopy of a pharmacopoeia with details of the diet and management of the Royal Infirmary. Also includes an account and other notes from 1845 which may be by the doctor who kept the pharmacopoeia as they are dated at Strasburg, Virginia. These were sent to Dr Adam Patrick by James Baylor Blackford of Richmond, Virginia. He had the original which he had purchased at auction in Richmond and thought the notes may be by an American student who studied in Edinburgh. Dr Patrick then passed the items to Haldane Tait. |
