| Description Of Item | A 400 ml capacity elastomeric bag made by B Braun (I-flow Corp.), which when filled with local anaesthetic releases the solution at a constant rate of 5 ml/hr. This bag was connected to a catheter sited close to a peripheral nerve, to provide continuous analgesia following surgery (disposable and ambulatory). Its design allowed a constant rate of infusion regardless of how much remains in the internal balloon and without the need for a separate pump of any kind.
