TitlePatient notes of 25 patients, all mentioning skin complexion
Datec. mid-19th century
Description Of ItemPatient notes describing the cases of 25 different patients. Patients range from the age of 17 to 54. Only their surnames are given. Most patients have different primary illnesses, but the notes consistently mention their skin complexion. The final patient listed is a 25-year-old man called Johnstone, who was ‘deafmute’ and whose grandfather was ‘a negro’. His skin and hair are described in great detail. The notes are written across two sheets of paper. They are not written by Thomas Laycock.
