| Description Of Item | Dr Christine Kelt, nee Beard) graduated with her MBChB from Edinburgh university in 1970, the first in her family to go to university.
She worked evenings at the family planning clinic in Scalloway in Shetland from 1974 to 1976 when she moved back to the mainland, to Stirling. She worked in family planning and sexual health for her whole career and was Head of Service latterly. She was instrumental in setting up the young people's sexual health service Sorted on Sex in Stirling.
She had other aspects to her career including working at the student health centre at Stirling university in the late 70s/early 80s.
