| Description Of Item | Copper reservoir with upper filler cap and a knob to control the drips from a lower tube. The lower tube is surrounded by a glass & brass chamber to enable sight of the drips. This chamber fits onto a brass pipe (with a valve) for attachment of an anaesthetic circuit. There is some controversy regarding whether this was used for ether (which would normally have some sort of wick arrangement in the vaporizer) or Vinesthene which was more commonly dripped into a vaporizing chamber, as in this apparatus.
