TitleOxford inflating bellows with upper oxygen inlet
Date1960s
Description Of ItemBellows for inflating the lungs – either as a separate resuscitator or as part of the EMO draw-over anaesthetic apparatus. A spiral spring in the bellows caused it to automatically refill whenever manual pressure on the bellows was released. Two valves under glass domes ensured unidirectional flow. After the arrival of Ambu E valves (1960) a magnet was provided to immobilise the outlet valve if/when an Ambu (non-rebreathing) valve was used.
