Description Of ItemThe ‘special needle’ (Becton, Dickinson & Co., USA) has a broad flange at the hub, which serves to hold the needle to the skin and depresses the point (reducing the chance of occlusion). By replacing the stylet in the needle while still in a vein, the same vein could be used a number of times. Accompanying syringes: ‘Interchangeable’ graduated to 10 ml (Chance Bros. Ltd., England); ‘Interchangeable’ graduated to 10 ml (Everett, England); Luer-Lok 2 ml graduated in both mls and minims (Summit, England). Reference: Adams RC. Intravenous Anesthesia.
